深入研究孟子，令人震撼

“最早接触孟子，是在上世纪80年代。那时，社会对传统文化尤其是儒学，普遍持批判态度。当时，我在西北大学就读历史专业，一接触《孟子》就被深深地震撼了。阅读《孟子》、《论语》后，觉得孔孟思想里，有着许多激励人心的东西，尽管当时自己在理论上还无法做出更深入的剖析。后来就读研究生，接触了港台新儒家的著作，其中牟宗三、徐复观对自己的影响很大，此时我才开始有理论上的自觉。后来我的博士论文就是《儒家五常学说研究》，其中关于孟子就占了很大篇幅，有整整一章。”

博士毕业后的梁涛到中国社会科学院历史所做博士后研究，正值郭店竹简公布于世，为他研究、了解孟子思想提供了重要的材料。

年，湖北省荆门市郭店村发现了沉睡地下达多年的多枚战国竹简。年这批竹简经整理后正式公布，引起了社会大批知名专家学者对当中1.3万个穿越历史的古汉字的研究，引发了一场轰轰烈烈的学术大讨论。以前人们往往孔孟并称，主要讨论孔子和孟子。但实际上，孔子和孟子之间有着过渡环节。秦始皇焚书坑儒之后，后人一直无法了解：从孔子的“性相近，习相远”，在相隔了多年后，是怎样发展到孟子的“道性善”的？而郭店楚简中儒家文献的发现，填补了孔孟之间这多年思想理论的空白。

“当中，有一重要人物子思。子思为孔子之孙，《太史公书·孔子世家》中有记载。据考证，汉代时应该还保留着子思的著作。但魏晋南北朝时，战乱较多，子思的著作逐渐散佚，导致了此段历史环节的缺失。很长的一段时期，我们主要透过《中庸》了解子思的，但《中庸》是否为子思的著作，社会上一直有着怀疑与争论，因为里面提到：今天下书同文，车同轨。似乎更像是秦汉时的话语。《郭店竹简》公布之后，其中《鲁穆公见子思》、《五行篇》两篇被学术界公认为子思的作品。另有几篇与子思思想也存在关联。这使我们能够更深入地了解子思的思想，能够将孔、孟之间的过渡环节填补上了。”

年至年的十年，是梁涛集中研究子思和孟子的时间段，他的博士后报告《郭店竹简与思孟学派》经过反复修订、完善，于年一经正式出版，立即受到学术界的极大
